Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Validation
Further to the scientific evidence required in order to gain a patent, substances such as Silver Sol require certain approvals from the American EPA, including a Toxicity Rating. Chemical spillages have to be reported to the EPA; the more toxic the substance (high Toxicity Rating), the smaller the volume of the spillage required before the EPA needs to be informed.
